The recent Federation Forum at NEC prompted a lively debate about how best to respond to growing
disquiet about the construction prevalent in buildings that suffered serious fires during the summer.
The outcome was an initiative to ensure best practice could be placed in front of government,
regulators, standard bodies, owners and residents. Work will start as soon as possible coordinated by
a consultant provided by the FPA. Comments are also noted on the Government’s response to the
Select Committee Report on MMC, ADB error corrections, consultations on fire safety in high rise
and fire risk in schools.
