Emergency Evacuation Information Sharing

Posted on December 3, 2024 - Latest News

The Home Office published on 2 December 2025 a full response to the 2022 consultation on Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs), which have featured in both the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 1 Report and the Final Report. Originally known as EEIS+ and now refered to as Residential PEEPs, as opposed to workplace PEEPs, the detailed response includes 15 Conclusions aimed at protecting vulnerable persons. Included at Conclusion 4 is the note that: Legislation will be introduced to deliver a version of the five-step process. This will deliver a distinct type of PEEP for residential settings which will be known as a ‘Residential PEEP’. The full report is available here.
